More random stuff

How… random. Right after a post full of random stuff, I have more random stuff to share.

The game series has long been one of my favorites, so it was only a matter of time until this happened anyways. Basically, if you took a “normal” strategy RPG and made it actually feel like a battle rather than a skirmish, then you’d have Langrisser. The first one came stateside as the Genesis game Warsong. Sad that nobody does it, though. I got my hands on the official Japanese guide for DL, the only Super Famicon game in the series (and a remake of L2), so I’ve been translating some stuff in it. The game should have a translation out in a couple months, hopefully.

  • Personality tests are fun!

I had, for a long time, used an old HTML site that was over 10 years old to find random personality tests and such. I noticed a topic on a forum about the Myers-Briggs test and someone posted this link. Basically, lots of personality tests and other random stuff. I like the Personality Disorder test; apparently I’m close to being both Schizoid and Borderline. Hooray! I’m crazy.

  • Puzzle Quest is sold out everywhere.

I first saw it posted a few days ago on a forum, but the guys at Penny Arcade confirmed it; it is impossible to find this gem (ah, heheheh) in a brick-and-mortar store. Judging from my experience, it’s hard to find ordering it from the internet too. Sure, Gamestop says it ships in 24 hours… but it’s been 72+ and nary a word from them. I hear that this was an issue with DS Lites as well. Hopefully it’s not as bad.

  • Suikoden 3 is still fun.

Although Hugo’s chapters were a bit of a chore, playing through Thomas’ and Chris’ chapters revitalized my happiness with how the game works. Some frustrations, but more… funstrations? Anyway, some of the battles have been a bit rough, and they took some extra oomph, leveling, and luck, but that’s what I mean by “funstration”. A game isn’t fun if it’s too easy. Looking forward to Geddoe’s chapters.
